An escape from the harsh UK winter is just what the doctor ordered, perfect for recharging the batteries and topping up that tan. My personal favourite for this type of holiday is to rent a winter sun villa with all the comforts of home enabling you to relax in the sunshine when everyone back home is freezing their nuts off!
If we look at the main Winter sun destinations from the UK then we have a choice of Spain (including holidays in canaries), Portugal, Italy, Cyprus and Egypt. All are within a short haul flight range ( 4 hours or less) from any UK regional airport, and all except Egypt, offer a good selection of winter sun villas for holiday rental.
